GiveNOLA Day is a one-day, online giving event to inspire people to give generously to the nonprofit organizations that make our region a stronger and more thriving community for all. It coincides with a national philanthropic giving campaign known as “Give Local America.”

Here In Terrebonne and Lafourche Parishes and Grand Isle, the Bayou Community Foundation (BCF) is coordinating a Bayou Region component of GiveNOLA Day to specifically promote the 40 nonprofit organizations in Terrebonne Parish, Lafourche Parish, and Grand Isle that are participating in the May 5 online giving event.

“Our local nonprofit organizations are so important to the health and stability of our Terrebonne Parish Community.  From health care to education, their work helps meet critical needs of our local residents and make Terrebonne Parish a great place to call home,” says President Claudet. “That’s why we are proud to proclaim May 5 as ‘GiveNOLA Day for the Bayou Region’ and thank the Bayou Community Foundation and Greater New Orleans Foundation for making this day possible.  I encourage all of our residents to support our local nonprofit organizations during this 24-hour online giving event.”
